About us

Our main focus at Learning Hive is to harness and celebrate the individuality of each child. Every child is uniquely talented, however many of them struggle to succeed academically.

We at Learning Hive Christian Academy realise that this is largely due to inadequate and inefficient teaching methods being widely used to box children into a pre-prepared role that may not best suit their unique and individual strengths. At Learning Hive, our tutors are not only brilliant and well equipped in their areas of expertise, but they are also passionate educators who take great joy in helping children better understand areas they thrive in and ones they find challenging so emphasis can be properly directed. Learning is an enjoyable journey, and we want children to experience this as well. Every child is truly one of a kind, and we want them to know this.

What makes us different?

Built on a strong Christian foundation, we cater to the emotional, educational, and spiritual growth and safety of our children.

The biggest component of our process is our team. This team is made up of the child, the parent, the teacher, and the community as a whole. As rightfully put in the traditional African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child”. We believe that it is only when team up and focus on our individual strengths and core mandate that we can successfully overcome any educational challenges in our effort to make our hive truly complete.

"Learning is not limited to only the capable; every individual has the potential to learn. Just lead the right way to help them learn."

Core Values/ Mission

Our programme is built around the concept that children are born ready to learn. At Learning Hive Christian Academy, we hold firmly to the philosophy that children learn best through rich interaction with their peers and adult mentors; and their learning increases when they are engaged in activities that have meaning to them.

Our Vision

To empower every child to flourish in their God-given potential and purpose.

Our Mission

Creating a Christ-centered, learning enriched environment that nurtures young minds

Our Motto

Enriching to Succeed: Embracing Excellence as we follow Christ

Quality

We believe every child deserves excellent early education and ongoing enrichment programs to make a difference in their lives and their community. Thus, it is our priority to provide a unique and well-rounded curriculum thought by experienced and brilliant tutors to make this possible.

“You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.” - James 2:24 James 2:24

Service

We believe children and their families are unique, and we make it our job not only to understand and appreciate them but to meet their individual needs as well. We are always available to cater to each child and family as is required.

“In the same way, let your light shine before men…” - Matthew 5:16

Trustworthiness

We believe in an honest and truthful approach in all our methods of operation. Demonstrating integrity in all our relationships is vital to our process.

“In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned…” - Titus 2: 7-8

Teamwork

We believe working together with children, families and our staff results in children being more than adequately prepared for academic and lifelong success. A sense of partnership between our team and the families that we serve helps with the journey towards a common goal.

“As it is, there are many parts, but one body.” - 1st Corinthians 12:20

Respect

We believe respect is essential to building the relationships that are critical to the success of our children, our families, and the Learning Hive Center. We are strong believers in treating others the way we want to be treated.

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you…” - Matthew 7:12

The Learning Hive Christian Academy Culture

Biblical Values

LHCA Board members, Administrators, Faculty and Staff strive to live according to the values contained in the Bible by relying on the power of the Holy Spirit. Through formal teaching and example, they seek to encourage students and their families to live according to the same Biblical values.

Volunteerism

LHCA encourages and relies on volunteer service from students and their families. Serving others without reward is encouraged in the Bible and a mark of Christian maturity.

Volunteer service opportunities will be provided for students and individual person volunteer activity will be encouraged. Each parent is encouraged to volunteer through school organizations such as Charity Week, School Bazaar and Fairs, End of Year Productions, Family Day, Sports Day and field trips.

Communication

LHCA expects all communication on the part of all school employees, students, school families and stakeholders to be Honest, Direct and Respectful. Honest means speaking truthfully in all settings and all audiences. Direct means speaking clearly and completely, only to the “right” people. Direct communication increases understanding and eliminates gossip and slander. Respectfully means being respectful of others and their  perspectives even when you disagree and their behavior is inappropriate.
